No one knows exactly what light is but people know how it works. Light unlike sound can travel and vacuum. Sound and light both travel in waves like water does. Light can also act as a stream of particles. Particles can travel in a straight light and a beam.

Heat is simply energy.Heat can change the matter it touches and also travels in waves. It can start chemical reactions and make moulecules move.

Light is fast and invisible, i.e., you cannot touch it.

Heat is high temperature.

Both light and heat are hot.

There are many different kinds of light-those that are visible and those that are not. Visible light, or white light, can be seen. Invisible, or ultraviolet, light cannot be seen. Light travels as a wavelength, and has no mass and very little density, enabling it to travel at approximately 299,792,458 meters per second.

Heat is simply energy transfered from one system to another due to a temperature difference. Heat will flow from a body with a higher temperature to that with a lower temperature. Both heat and light travel in wavelengths, and are emitted by the sun.
